The second production batch of 100 aircraft ordered from Vickers-Armstrong’s (Aircraft) Limited, Castle Bromwich, under Contract # 1336. The original order was for 200 aircraft, but the final 100 aircraft were cancelled. (Serial numbers PP793-PP806, PP820-PP866 and PP880-PP918)
Deliveries commenced Feb 1945 and completed Aug 1945
All aircraft were fitted with Merlin 24 engines
